CASE STUDIES
HIGH END FASHION ACCESSORIES
We were approached by the owner of a high end fashion shoe brand to find a buyer or collaboration partner.
WHAT WE DID
We created a visually compelling pitch deck showcasing the brand's vision and values. We opened our network and made 25 introductory meetings to a mix of other brand holders, investors and designers. The network covered the fashion capitals of the world and showed that our reach within our own network was considerable.
OUTCOME
As the brand had not been trading for two years and the market viewed the designs as not current enough - it was clear that in fashion, a brand loses lustre if not kept alive - unless it holds legacy value. The sale was unsuccessful, however it allowed the seller to understand the market and we exhibited an ability to tap into an "unknown" sector.
TECHNOLOGY - SOFTWARE AS A SERVICE (SaaS)
A startup with functioning platform sought advice and funding to launch product into new territory.
WHAT WE DID
We prepared a pitch deck and supported the CEO in preparing for difficult questions. We researched and identified over 100 possible investors. We set up meetings and connected the CEO to a number of investors and arranged pitching opportunities.
OUTCOME
The platform required funding to ensure additional functionality which would support the onboarding of the first customer. As the founder and team were no longer able to continue their own funding, new investors were not keen to invest in a platform which still required proven traction. The timing was also during a time when investors were only considering tech companies with ongoing revenue.
SMART BUILDINGS - WORKPLACE TECHNOLOGY
The client was seeking board level and advisory support to help them prepare for their next round of funding and to develop their business further.
WHAT WE DID
We worked closely with the client and their board to identify key areas of focus and develop a comprehensive plan to achieve their objectives. We also helped prepare a compelling pitch deck for potential investors.
OUTCOME
Client had a successful sale of the business to a larger player in the sector, ensuring the business could continue to grow within a larger group.
NICHE MANUFACTURING COMPANY
A small specialised family-owned company wishing to sell the business and retire.
WHAT WE DID
We developed a comprehensive information memorandum, arranged meetings with interested parties, supported the sales process and finalisation documents.
OUTCOME
A successful sale to a buyer who was the perfect fit for the seller's terms and the ongoing operations of the company
ARCHITECTURAL CONSULTANCY
A lead designer was leaving an established practice to set up own firm
WHAT WE DID
We established the firm, ensuring the lead designer was able to satisfy the exit requirements from previous position. We put in place the operational support structure to allow the designer to "hit the ground running" when they moved into the business.
OUTCOME
Newly formed consultancy was able to service their first client within the first month, giving the designer peace of mind.
ESTABLISHING UK PRESENCE
Overseas client was looking at establishing their business in the UK, requiring interim support when dealing with the complexities and time-consuming processes.
WHAT WE DID
We provided a nominee director, allowing us to establish the UK entity within 48 hours and a bank account within a month. We ensured that all compliance aspects, such as registered address, tax registrations and financial operations were in place.
OUTCOME
The company was able to start trading within a short time frame and we were able to continue to provide support as they grew, adding HR and payroll and data protection services. Once fully operational they hired a UK MD, who took over the corporate responsibilities, we remained on board as advisors.
